Spammers Beware

You may have noticed that I've been getting spammers leaving silly advertisements and other crude messages in my comments recently. I've now installed MT-Blacklist which is "A Movable Type Anti-spam Plugin". It's a great little plug-in which takes merely minutes to install. I can't recommend it enough if you've been encountering similar problems. Take that, you spamming low-lifes!

The B-list

A few weeks ago I had a my-stomach-hurts-so-bad-I-need-to-go-the-hospital type episode. It was never clarified whether it was a bout of severe food poisoning or some weird illness. Of course the aftermath lasted a couple of weeks and now I feel like I should be preparing for round two. I feel weak. As much as I hate to say this, Ramadan has left me exhausted this year. That coupled with a jippy tummy spells uh-oh.

I need sleep. Lots of it please.

I've had quite the 'celebrity' filled week. Firstly, I had the great pleasure of meeting Nobby Stiles, in Asda of all places. He was quite the gent and when I was talking to him a group of young boys squinted at the posters announcing the launch of his autobiography and shouted "Who's Bobby Stills?!" Mr Stiles laughed heartily and had a little chat with the lads who eventually realised who he was and seemed to be made up. I suppose we have to wait a while before Jonny Wilkinson has people trying to remember what he's famous for. Another thirty seven years perhaps.

The celeb spotting action continued at the airport on Sunday. I walked past Alex Parks, winner of this year's Fame Academy. She looks exactly the same as she does on the telly. What you see is what you get with her, no tons of make-up and hairspray. We were contemplating stalking her and asking for a photo with her or possibly an autograph but then realised how sad that would actually be and headed home instead.

What with all this mingling with the stars, fasting, lack of sleep and poor health I'd better get to bed.

Happy 3rd, baby!

Firstly, Ramadan mubarak. I hope it's going well for those of you who are fasting. Due to time constraints, I'll point you to posts on Ramadan from the previous two years which I hope you'll all find useful and apologise for not bringing any fresh links about the holy month.

The very few people who still visit (that's loyalty for you) know that I've been away for exactly two months now. I won't dish out the excuses, stuff happens, life goes on and frankly most things in my life right now are way more important than this here weblog. All things in your life are way more important than this here weblog.

All that being said and done, I do intend to start writing here again. It was my weblog's third birthday on Saturday (three years and still gently ticking baby!) and that's got to count for something. I enjoyed updating and introducing you to my life. I love the interaction between all of my readers, no matter how crazy they are (except for that dude that keeps posting about boobs, stop it!) I am determined to return this site to something you'll enjoy once more. And soon. I'm talking a week or two.
