Nokia 7250
I am now the proud owner of a Nokia 7250. It's a beaut! Now all I need is a data cable or to figure out how to blog from it and I'll be all set.
The only problem with all this technology is waiting for friends and relatives to catch up so you can make full use of it.
I also bought a Polaroid.....I'm going picture crazy y'all!

Isn't it ironic?I bought a pack of special craft scissors. I cannot open the pack because I have no scissors. Irony, how you mock me.

Too much informationIf I move too much my insides will fall out.
On that cheery note, please re-welcome the Three Word Blog. A one (two, three, four? who knows...) time only offer:
Great digital artwork
Siamese twins costume
Cuttlefish communication solved
Socks were rocked
Generate rap lyrics
This is good.
Oh yeah, remember that scene in 'The Wedding Planner' where Jennifer Lopez's character gets the heel of her shoe stuck in a drain cover? Well that happened to my new shoes today. There was no bus or dustbin cart hurtling my way but it still bloody hurt.

Use it for the sake of using itWow, yes patterns are great and everything. Wooh, excellent for your webpage background. All the rage.
But a blue and white background pattern doesn't go with your red and green colour scheme. (Or any other stupid colour combination for that matter.)

I AM CoolOnce again I lose the 'dibs' battle. If you're not from my side of town you'll be forgiven for not knowing what one of those is. Well, in layman's terms (trying to sound all knowledgable and stuff) it is like when you call shotgun but can be used for anything. "I dibs first in the shower!" "I dibs second." ".......I dibs last...."
"I dibs first choice on the telly!" "Oh you always dib first!" "No I bloody don't!" "Oh for Gawd's sake, I never get...." You get the general idea. The last to dib is usually me and most probably followed with whining and moaning (and subsequently writing about it on my blog).
Dibs aside, we have a fair bit of slang. It is this slang that I so readily used in my younger years (before my English teacher beat it out of me) that is making me feel so old these days. "Innit" is so old skool it's uncool. "Allow it" and "bear" are making their way into everyday life and I hate to say it but I despise it. It makes me cringe. It makes me want to rip my ears off with a rusty fork. And a teensy bit of that hatred is because the young 'uns are using it and I only hear about them when they're on their way to the "unhip" pile.
I need to stop doing a double take when someone says "allow it" or my hip and happening image will go straight out of the bleating window.
And: Everyone should have an Andre.

Night and DayThe above photograph I took brought back memories of a beautiful photograph/painting I saw years ago. It was a landscape where the ground portrayed a sense that it was nighttime but when looking at the sky, it was broad daylight. A great illusion by anonymous. It's been bugging me for days now, who is the artist? Answers on a postcard.
And: Happy birthday to Firda's website. We love you.

Bits and RobertsThis is a scattered entry. Bits and bobs from my limited web travelling. The good news is that my passion for the web has returned. Semi-yay.
First off, I must visit California for this inn alone. I have my eye on the Cirque du Sonoma Room. The themed rooms kind of remind me of the Alton Towers Hotel where you have a choice to be a Princess or drown in chocolate. Hard choice.
If you've been able to catch all of the BBC's Leonardo da Vinci series than you are luckier than I. But if you haven't, then join me in checking out their website. If you get a chance, check out the 'What kind of thinker are you?' quiz. It revealed me to be an Intrapersonal thinker, someone who 'spends a lot of time thinking about and trying to understand themselves' and 'reflect on their thoughts and moods, and work to improve them'. I share this attribute with Sigmund Freud, Gandhi and Grahame Greene. Not bad company to keep, I'd say!
Here's the reason my little sister shouldn't give up her day job. She feels pretty.
And remember, you're unique....like everyone else. [via harrumph]
