Happy Holidays

The worst thing about 'flu is the inability to taste anything. Imagine all that yummy holiday food and not one functional tastebud to appreciate it.

I read that Fiat is going downhill. Well I could have told you that more than a year ago. I still shudder at the thought that the Multipla got past the design stage.

Talking of cars I got to drive a Mercedes M-Class last week. Yes it is as cool to drive as it is to look at.

Bad Medicine

I've been telling my mum this for years. Finally, something to back it all up.

"Homeopathy is based on a 300-year-old mistake. Homeopathy's foundation lies on the premises of "like cures like" and "the law of infinitesimals." Nappy rash, for example, is cured with a diluted solution of poison ivy. Homeopathy founders when it comes to dilution. A typical dilution level is times 30, which in homeopathy-speak means one-part medicine and 1030 part water. Such dilution is implausible, developed before the concept of Avogadro's number, which determines the number of molecules in a given solution. You would need to drink 8,000 gallons of water to get one molecule of medicine." -Christopher Wanjek, debunking some popular medical myths.
