Only after listening to Moby'sOnly after listening to Moby's album have I noticed that I have heard most of the songs before without realising they were actually by Moby. Good album by the way, personal favourite is still 'Porcelain'.

I really couldn't have askedI really couldn't have asked for a better birthday. First my friends surprise me last night, then my work mates decorate my work station and make me drink tea threw a Twirl bar (don't ask) and then I come home to my family's surprise party for me. Lovely gifts, lovely thoughts, lovely cards. I love you all. Being 21 isn't as bad as I thought.
Here's a card I received from my cousins' surrogate cat, Coco. Note: it's the actual size of it!

It snowed again. Well actuallyIt snowed again. Well actually it doesn't deserved to be called snow, it was a poor excuse for snow. More like slush really. It's ten times worse than rain though. More wet, much more cold and you slip around the ground like a maniac. Just another thing to put on my list 'The Joy of living in England'.
Taxi drivers would go in that list too. But maybe they're an international problem. The one that drove me home was giving way to every man and his dog. I'm paying you to drive Mister not give me 'Road Manners' lessons.

There be gremlins in meThere be gremlins in me blog! I've been struggling with this site since yesterday and frankly I've reached the end of my tether (whatever my tether actually is). If it's not fixed then forget it. That's actually a false statement, I know I'll probably keep trying to fix it. This web thing is a disease I tell you.

Younger sister: (out of the blue) I learnt a new word today.
Saima: What?
Younger sister: Hyperbole
Saima: That's a new one.
Younger sister: You don't know?
Saima: Well, I've heard of hyperbola in maths.
Younger sister: It's like exaggeration, like, "I was waiting for ten years" when it was only ten minutes.
Saima: But that's just exaggeration.
Younger sister: No, no, no, like "I'd walk a thousand miles for you".
Saima: No, that's just bullshit.

A virus warning sent toA virus warning sent to me by e-mail:
Someone is sending out a very cute screensaver of the Budweiser frogs.
If you download it, you will lose everything! Your hard drive will crash and someone from the Internet will get your screen name and
password.
DO NOT DOWNLOAD IT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES! It just went into circulation on 11/01/2001. Please distribute this message. This is a new, very malicious virus and not many people know about it. This information was announced yesterday morning from Microsoft. Please share it with everyone that might access the Internet. Once again, pass this along to EVERYONE in your address book so that this may be stopped. AOL has said that this is a very dangerous virus and that there is NO
remedy for it at this time!

It was when my computerIt was when my computer collapsed on me (not literally, that would hurt) today that I realised how much it is I rely on the blasted thing. How am I gonna check my mail, how am I gonna chat to my online friends, how am I gonna find out what the population of Swaziland is? (you never know when you might need to know that). Maybe I should go on a special 'computer-free' diet. Wean myself off bit by bit.......nope, can't do it.

When I made 'me' this
When I made 'me' this morning I knew this craze would catch on like wild fire. It's just too much fun not to make one for yourself and of yourself. The only problem being that they didn't really have my skin tone, nevermind. I'm actually wearing something like that right now. Except it's grey, I designed it myself and has 'Saima' in Chinese embroidered at the hem.

Whilst watching the Channel 4Whilst watching the Channel 4 programme Great Estates the other day (yes, I was extremely bored) I totally fell in love with this place. It wasn't so much the palace, that plays home to the Duke of Marlborough, that I loved but the grounds in which it is located. Definitely a place I'll visit during the summer when the The Pleasure Gardens, Marlborough Maze and Butterfly House are open. Anyone care to join me?

Since my cousin has movedSince my cousin has moved to Glasgow I've sort of forgotten how popular he is with the ladies. I was reminded when my sister and her friends were viewing a home video recorded this Eid when the whole family visited from up north. As soon as Alan popped onto the screen, the girls' eyes became wide and the "So, who's that then?" questions surfaced rather 'innocently'. I remember when we went to the same junior school, me and Alan. My friend Shenel fancied him like mad and I'm sure she wasn't the only one either. When people would mention him, I'd gleam with pride. Not because he's good looking. He did well in anything he undertook at school. That made me prouder than if a million girls fancied him.

It's my 21st birthday onIt's my 21st birthday on the 28th of this month. Don't say you didn't know or you didn't know what to get me.
On a more serious note. There's a fairly new club in town called @mosphere. It has a huge balcony. As soon as I saw it I knew it spelt trouble. Hello! Drunk people and heights don't mix. Sure enough, some poor man fell off the balcony in the early hours of Saturday morning and had to be taken to hospital. Sometimes, plain common sense wouldn't go amiss.
