December 2006 Archives
I had a dream last night that Heather Champ and I went around Texas taking photos. We kept missing our connecting internal flights however because I was planning a surprise birthday party for a friend at the same time. She was not pleased let me tell you. I think this was inspired by the video I watched just before I went to bed last night.
It's that time of year again. The question "what do you want for your birthday?!" has started lurking its ugly head.
The years I've said "nothing" I've received gifts anyway. I'm not one to ask for anything, I find it uncomfortable receiving gifts let alone asking for them directly but I know that finding the perfect gift for a loved one can be an unnecessarily arduous task. So this year, to make things easier for all concerned I'm allowing access to my wishlist over at TheThingsIWant.com.
Whilst conducting some research for a post over on Vox about my top five TV programmes of 2006, I came across this etymology website.
I must say unnecessary apostrophes annoy me so I was rather pleased to hear of Marks and Spencer's decision to withdraw some grammatically incorrect baby clothing. Of course, this is not the first time M&S have mucked up.
(There's an Apostrophe Protection Society! Gawd bless 'em.)
Ironically, the Nokia N73 with all its blogging capabilities, does not have the word blog in its predictive text dictionary. Tut.
Check out the handmade Nintendo goodies on Etsy. Coolio!
I bought a new phone, finally! After months of dealing with a massive Motorola monstrosity I'm relieved to have a Nokia once more.
The Nokia N73 is fabsaroo; a 3.2 megapixel camera, Carl Zeiss optics and every other bell and whistle you can think of.
What I love about it most is its direct connection to Flickr and also the tariff I have with 3 which gives me free access to Windows Live Messenger and Ebay. And that's just the tip of the iceberg.
I wrote an entire blog entry about the mini chocolate cupcakes I made but it disappeared, I don't know why or how. Pantsaroo.
