March 2001 Archives
OK, I lied. I updated this.
Oooh, one of the first sites I blogged about is back. And now I'm off to bed before I collapse. (I so wanted that to rhyme
)
One for the road....
I wanted to do something like this once but was too lazy to pull it off. The host site is pretty amazing too. There's a designer on ablaze whose site I've always loved. Pity she has taken it down due to people nicking her stuff. A problem affecting way too many web people these days.
Hoorah blogger is back up....but now I've forgotten everything I was dying to write about....
"All those who believe in psychokinesis raise my hand."
A web log about stars by Johnny Mars! (And it rhymed too).
It's an interactive story and what's more, it's about a monkey! But seriously, it is a tres good idea and you get to take part. What more could you ask for? Unless of course they paid you to take part....
I earned a disappointing £500 on this.
MARK LAMARR: Will the real 'person who smashed the windscreen of Saima's car' please step forward?
The funniest thing I saw today. Written into the dirt on the back of a top level security van: GARY GLITTER ON TOUR.
"Early bird gets the worm, but the second mouse gets the cheese."
I don't understand group blogs that are just like a conversation between the writers.
'So today I went here and here. By the way so and so, your site looks great! *giggle*'
'Thanks for saying my site looks great, yours does too. *hugz* So what are you doing tomorrow? Today I went to the mall and bought this and this....'
What's e-mail for?
Sigh. What a calming colour.
I wanna see your site in a nutshell.
I'd agree with Anil there. It feels like some inside joke that everyone's in on except me (and Anil obviously) Do share, please?
Did you know it is illegal to say "Book 'em Danno" in Hawaii?
(Thanks to Rena for that)
Apparently, every time I type something I 'oost' it.
It's funny when you mishear things. Like that time my mum was talking about Auntie Quresh's son and I thought she meant the Anti-Christ's son. Brings a whole different perspective to the conversation.
What I missed when I was there:
Friends and family
Mosquito-free environment
Road safety rules
Happy digestive system
What I'll miss now I'm back:
Friends and family
Good food
Cheap clothes
Open spaces
What I brough back:
Computer (P4 baby yeah)
Nokia 8210
Lots of CDs and DVDs
Clothes
Memories
Just got back from Model Town in Lahore this morning. It's getting quite hot here now and when you're in a car it gets pretty stuffy. I've been back to Sialkot and on the way back visited Munchur and Gujrat. The village of Munchur was beautiful and Gujarat was....um..Gujarat. Anyway, must go out now, hope Eid was good :)
You really need a 4x4 in this place.
